Is it summer now?
The trees are all decked out in their greenery of many hues and lilacs perfume the air around town, peonies are tall and forming their flowers. The outdoor temperatures have ranged from mild to the mid-eighties and jackets are left at home or in cars. Motor cycles and lawn mowers are competing for highest noise levels. Soon schools will be empty. The calendar shows we have already left one of the summer holidays in the past. For me the season officially changes when I take the flannel sheets off of my bed and pull the percale ones on. Today is the day.
